    Nordic Capital will acquire BWXT Medical and the medical isotopes business of Kinectrics from BWX Technologies in a deal valued at up to $800 million, the companies announced Aug. 3. BWXT Medical traces its roots to the 2018 purchase of a medical isotopes business from Sotera Health. Medical isotopes are radioactive forms of elements used in diagnostic imaging and treatment of cancer and other conditions. Both businesses have facilities in Ontario. The deal is expected to close by year-end, subject to regulatory approval, with BWXT maintaining a minority stake.
