Kettering Health to acquire Knox Community Hospital in Ohio

Kettering Health signed a non-binding letter of intent Tuesday to acquire Knox Community Hospital, a 99-bed nonprofit acute-care hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio, located about 40 miles northeast of Columbus. Deal value was not disclosed. Knox Community Hospital's board conducted months of due diligence including more than 800 hours of meetings before selecting Kettering Health. Kettering Health has agreed to make capital investments in the service area over 10 years, including implementing a new electronic health records system, and will offer continued employment to all active hospital employees.
