Advita Ortho acquires intellectual property from Bauer Innovations for shoulder implant technologies

Advita Ortho announced it has obtained three novel intellectual property applications from Bauer Innovations to expand its Equinoxe Shoulder System portfolio. Bauer Innovations develops implant technologies for orthopedic shoulder surgery, specifically addressing glenoid bone loss in revision procedures. Advita intends to use the patents to design new reverse shoulder glenoid baseplates that improve glenoid fixation in patients with central vault defects and uncontained glenoid defects. Deal value was not disclosed.
