    United Ocular acquires Glenn Reams Ocularist

    United Ocular has acquired Glenn Reams Ocularist, a ocular prosthetics practice serving patients in Kansas, Kentucky, and portions of Missouri, Illinois and Indiana for more than four decades. The practice will continue providing care to its existing patients under United Ocular's ownership. Glenn Reams is also serving patients from Turntine Ocular Prosthetics, whose patients have been under its care since 2023.

    Dentalcorp acquires Northstar Dental Partners in entry to U.S. market

    Dentalcorp, a dental support organization operating over 650 practices across North America, acquired Northstar Dental Partners, a Florida-based group managing 21 dental practices. The deal value was not disclosed. Northstar operates practices across South Florida, the Treasure Coast, Southwest Florida and Central Florida. Northstar founder and CEO Dr. Jordan Tomalty will retain an ownership position and remain instrumental to the group's continued growth.

    Devereux acquires Georgia nonprofit Gigi's House

    Devereux has acquired Gigi's House, a nonprofit residential treatment facility in Clayton County, Georgia. The facility provides therapeutic care and support services for female youth survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and trauma. Gigi's House will operate as Devereux – Gigi's House and serve youth ages 12 to 17 who have experienced emotional, physical or sexual trauma. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    Cardinal Health to acquire Strive Medical and AdaptHealth diabetes business for $360 million

    Cardinal Health agreed to acquire multi-specialty medical supply company Strive Medical and the diabetes business of AdaptHealth for a combined $360 million in cash. Strive Medical specializes in urology, wound care, ostomy and incontinence supplies and serves more than 20,000 customers annually. AdaptHealth's diabetes business is a direct-to-patient supplier of diabetes medical supplies including continuous glucose monitors and serves more than 225,000 patients annually. Cardinal said the acquisitions are expected to be accretive to earnings within a year of closing and will expand its at-home solutions business.

    Akron Children's Hospital to acquire Stark Women's Center

    Akron Children's Hospital will purchase the independent Stark Women's Center, an obstetrics and gynecology physician practice, under a memorandum of understanding announced July 21, with completion expected by February 2027. The Stark Women's Center, established in 1953, operates as an independent practice with six physicians and two nurse practitioners providing gynecological, obstetrical and urogynecologic surgical services, handling 35,000 outpatient visits annually. Deliveries and surgeries will continue at Aultman Hospital. Akron Children's, a nonprofit health system, cited the acquisition as complementary to its high-risk maternal fetal medicine and pediatric services.
