Apax Partners to acquire Centor US and Primary Packaging Plastics from Gerresheimer for $1.71 billion

Apax Partners has agreed to acquire Centor US Holding Inc. and Gerresheimer's Primary Packaging Plastics business for approximately $1.71 billion in two separate transactions. The businesses specialize in prescription vials and primary plastic packaging systems for injectable drugs and dispensing applications, operating 16 production sites across nine countries with approximately 2,400 employees. Centor's sale is expected to close by the end of 2026, while Primary Packaging Plastics is anticipated to close in the first half of 2027. Gerresheimer plans to use proceeds to reduce debt and refinance its capital structure.
