R1 RCM to acquire Humata Health in AI-powered prior authorization deal

R1 RCM Holdco Inc. has agreed to acquire Humata Health, an AI-powered prior authorization software vendor, in a deal with undisclosed terms expected to close by the end of the third quarter. Humata Health automates the medical review process and authorization submissions for healthcare providers and payers. The acquisition will integrate Humata's technology into R1's Phare Operating System to expand AI-powered capabilities across the revenue cycle, with the Humata team joining R1's R37 innovation lab following closing.
