BradenHealth acquires Jellico Hospital in rural Tennessee

BradenHealth has acquired Jellico Hospital, a rural facility serving the Jellico and Campbell County area of East Tennessee. The hospital provides inpatient and emergency care services and has faced years of closures, partial reopenings and financial difficulties. BradenHealth said restoring the facility to operation would cost a minimum of $14 million and is expected to create approximately 120 jobs. The company is working with the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission, CMS and other stakeholders on reopening plans; no timeline for patient admissions was announced.
