Surgeon owners of Atlas Surgery Center propose $54M sale of majority stake to Ambulatory Partner Holdings

Physician owners of Atlas Surgery Center in Amherst, N.Y., have proposed selling a 60% majority stake to Ambulatory Partner Holdings LLC, a former UnitedHealth Group subsidiary, for $54 million. Atlas Surgery Center operates an ambulatory surgery facility. According to a physician owner, medical decision-making will remain under physician control following the transaction.

Regent Surgical acquires Integrated Surgical Center of Arizona

Regent Surgical, a developer and operator of ambulatory surgery centers, has acquired Integrated Surgical Center of Arizona (ISCA), a multispecialty ASC in Avondale, Arizona. ISCA offers cardiac, gastroenterology and other surgical services and is led by three physician organizations: IMS Care, Arizona's largest independent multispecialty physician group; AZ Heart Arrhythmia Associates, a cardiac electrophysiology specialist group; and Valley GI Consultants.

Wilmington Health to acquire 49% of Coastal Cancer Care & Imaging

Wilmington Health is expected to acquire a 49% interest in Coastal Cancer Care & Imaging (CCCI), a freestanding cancer center operator that is currently owned 100% by UNC Health. CCCI provides oncology, hematology, infusion services, and PET imaging capabilities. The organization is expected to become jointly owned by Wilmington Health and UNC Health, with UNC Health holding a 51% stake and Wilmington Health holding 49%. North Carolina regulators granted an exemption allowing construction of a medical office building to house a PET scanner and cancer center in Wilmington, with the full project pending state approval and targeted to open as early as 2028.

Amsurg acquires Capital Surgery Center in Louisiana

Amsurg has acquired Capital Surgery Center, a Louisiana-based ambulatory surgery center, the company's second acquisition under parent company Ascension. Capital Surgery Center, an 8,250-square-foot facility featuring two operating rooms, specializes in outpatient orthopedic care and interventional pain management. It is owned by Barrett Johnston, MD, and John Crosby, MD, and the surgery center offers procedures such as joint arthroscopy, nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal marks continued expansion of Amsurg's national footprint.

RadNet to operate imaging centers through joint venture with Saint Alphonsus Health System

RadNet Inc. announced a multisite joint venture with Trinity Health's Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho. The partnership will initially operate five multimodality outpatient imaging centers. RadNet's contracted imaging group, Gem State Radiology, and the local hospitals will adopt AI solutions from RadNet's DeepHealth subsidiary. Deal value was not disclosed.
